Let’s introduce Ryan, who was born and raised on the South Island of New Zealand. He is passionate about animals, especially the deer that roam the island. Ryan’s extensive knowledge of New Zealand, combined with his handyman skills, makes him an invaluable asset to our lodge. From welding to tractors, he can fix almost anything!
Hunting with Ryan is a true pleasure. His understanding of the animals and the New Zealand landscape is phenomenal. In the evenings, he enjoys sharing a cold beer around the campfire with our clients.
Ryan grew up in North Otago, where he began hunting Fallow and Red Deer. His early experiences instilled in him a deep respect for New Zealand’s wildlife and the outdoors. This background has undoubtedly shaped his understanding of wildlife and conservation, fostering a strong connection to the land and its resources.
During his off-season, Ryan harvests feral game for consumption and works on local farms.
